Refund policy
Cash@Maxx Refund & Returns Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Cash@Maxx strictly adheres to the guidelines set out by UK Trading Standards, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 [1, 2].
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights [1].
This policy applies to both new and pre-owned goods sold by Cash@Maxx unless otherwise stated.
1. Change of Mind Returns (Online Purchases Only)
For items purchased online, you have a statutory right to change your mind and request a return within 14 days of receiving your item [1].
As a goodwill gesture, Cash@Maxx extends this period and will accept eligible change of mind returns for up to 30 days from the date of receipt, subject to the conditions set out in this policy.
Once you have notified us of your wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us [1].
Condition
To be eligible for a change of mind return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
Exclusions
Due to hygiene reasons, opened or unsealed in-ear headphones cannot be returned unless defective.
Bullion, commemorative coins/bars, personalised/custom items, and perishable goods are completely excluded from change of mind returns [1].
Sale Items
Sale items purchased online can be returned within the Cash@Maxx 30-day goodwill return period, subject to the conditions set out in this policy.
(Note: Sale items purchased physically in-store are non-refundable for change of mind).
After 30 Days
No returns or refunds will be accepted for a change of mind after 30 days.
2. High-End & High-Value Items (Courier Collection Policy)
To ensure the safe transit of luxury, high-value, or delicate goods, Cash@Maxx reserves the right to arrange a specialised, secure courier collection service to retrieve the item from your address.
Refusal of Collection
If we offer a secure collection service for a high-value return and you decline this service, the direct cost and full legal liability for the return transit shifts entirely to you (the customer) [1].
Customer Responsibility
If you decline our collection, the goods remain your responsibility until they are safely delivered to and signed for at our warehouse.
You must arrange your own fully tracked and insured courier service covered up to the full retail value of the goods.
Cash@Maxx will not issue refunds for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit via third-party couriers [1].
Failed Collections
If a pre-agreed collection attempt fails because you are not present or refuse the driver, a failed courier charge may be deducted from your final refund amount, provided this fee structure was communicated to you prior to purchase [1].
3. Faulty Items (Within 30 Days)
If your item is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described, you have a statutory Short-Term Right to Reject it for a full refund within 30 days of receipt [2].
All returns are subject to testing to corroborate the stated fault.
For intricate, complex technical items, a reasonable testing period may be required by our technicians to verify the fault before a refund is authorised.
If a fault is confirmed within the first 30 days of receipt, you will qualify for a full refund under your statutory Short-Term Right to Reject [2]. Alternatively, at your request, we may offer a repair or replacement where appropriate.
If your item is confirmed to be faulty, Cash@Maxx will fully cover or reimburse all reasonable return transit costs.
4. Cash@Maxx 6-Month Warranty & Faulty Items (After 30 Days)
All items sold by Cash@Maxx come with a 6-month commercial warranty/guarantee, which strictly aligns with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 [2].
If a product develops a manufacturing fault after 30 days but within this 6-month warranty period, you are entitled to a resolution in the following order:
A Professional Repair
A professional repair carried out within a reasonable period (typically completed within 21 days) [2].
An Identical Replacement Item
An identical replacement item [2].
A Similar Replacement Item
A similar replacement item of equal specification [2].
Full Refund
If a repair or replacement is not possible or turns out to be unsuccessful, a full refund of the original purchase price will be issued, with no deductions made for usage within the first 6 months [2].
Warranty Limitations
Please note: Our 6-month warranty strictly covers internal mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing defects.
It does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Liquid ingress
- Software corruption
- User modification
- General wear and tear
All warranty claims require a technical assessment by our team to verify the fault.
